A hands-free competitor research pipeline. It pulls ad intelligence data from BigSpy — including advertiser names, ad creatives, impressions, engagement metrics, and platform channels — and organizes everything into a clean Google Sheet that's ready for analysis.
Instead of manually copying data from BigSpy's interface, this workflow handles the entire extraction, transformation, and storage process automatically. The result is a living spreadsheet of competitor ad data that updates on demand.
The workflow calls BigSpy's API to pull ad creative data. It can search by keyword, advertiser, category, or platform — whatever criteria the user needs to research competitors. The API returns detailed records including ad copy, images, and performance metrics.
Raw API responses get cleaned and reshaped. Unix timestamps are converted to readable dates. Platform channels are joined into a single field. Impressions, heat scores, and day counts are normalized. The result is a flat, analysis-ready structure with 15+ data columns per ad.
Each row of cleaned data is appended to a Google Sheet. Columns include Advertiser, Page Name, Title, Message, CTA, Platform, Channels, Impression, Heat, Days Count, First Seen, Last Seen, Advertiser ID, and Media URL. The sheet becomes a browsable database of competitor creatives.
Pulls ad creatives from any competitor or category on BigSpy. See what ads are running, how long they've been active, and which platforms they're on — all in one spreadsheet.
Raw API data is messy. The workflow handles timestamp conversion, field normalization, and null handling — so the spreadsheet is clean and ready to filter, sort, and analyze without manual cleanup.
Run it whenever you need fresh data. One click triggers the full pipeline — from API call to spreadsheet update. No need to set up schedules or monitors unless you want to.
Everything lands in Google Sheets with clear column headers. Filter by platform, sort by impressions, or search by advertiser name — the spreadsheet becomes a flexible research tool.
